On September 1, 2020, public schools were approved to serve meals for free for their students through December 31, 2020; that has been extended through the end of the school year. This is in part due to the USDA and State of Oklahoma’s Covid meal waiver.

The Walters Blue Devil Pride competed in the OSSAA District Concert & Sight-Reading Contest on March 3 at Duncan High School. They performed Into the Light by David Shaffer, and Belle Qui Tiens Ma Vie by Bob Margolis earning a Superior (I) on stage for Concert Band and a Superior (1) in Sight-Reading, earning the opportunity to compete in the OSSAA State Concert & Sight-Reading Contest in April. The Blue Devil Pride was the only Class 3A band at the contest to earn a Superior Rating and to qualify for State.
Several students from the band will also compete on Saturday, March 6, at the OSSAA District Solo & Ensemble Contest. All band students in grades 6 through 12 are currently working to raise money to attend the Heartland Festival in Oklahoma City at Frontier City in May.
The following athletes competed at the OFBCA Junior High Southwest Regional Powerlifting Meet on Wednesday, March 3 in Anadarko. Results for Walters junior high athletes were:
8th grade team runner up with 130 points, second to Blanchard.
