WHS Cross Country team members Kayla Meason, Lily Nease and Scotlyn Ford, accompanied by their sponsors Coach Nease and Stephen Ford (Scotlyn's dad), traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Army Ten-Miler on October 13, 2024. This year’s event featured 28,000 participants, and both Lily and Coach Nease achieved a commendable finish within the top 2,000 runners.
The Army Ten-Miler is recognized as the third-largest 10-mile race globally and is organized by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington. Proceeds from this event support morale, welfare, and recreation programs for soldiers and their families.
