WES Turkey Hunt winners! There were four turkeys, the teachers in each class had the opportunity to find them. Once the turkeys were found, the teacher and students had to gobble wobble dance for their teacher to get their $20 gift certificate to Cotton County Drug. Walters 4H & FFA students, Rowdy Burns, Sunshine Sutterfield, Rylee Peer and Racie Burns competed in the AFR/OFU Cooperative Speech Contest. Racie placed 2nd and is eligible to compete at state. Rylee placed 5th in her division. Congratulations!

Congratulations WMS Academic Team! The team earned District Runner-Up honors today! They will advance to the Regional Tournament later this semester.

For the 3rd consecutive year, Walters High School student council has received Gold Chapter from the Oklahoma Association of Student Councils. Pictured are Jayden Reyes, Danyle Gee, Ava Bryant, and Katie Deurmyer, who accepted this award on behalf of the entire council in Ponca City at the 85th OASC State Convention.
Blood Drive!

Congratulations 7th Grade Girls Basketball! Velma Tournament CHAMPS!! They won 32-23 over Comanche in the final game.

On Wednesday, November 5, WHS freshman Austyn Lawler competed in the “Cane Quest” at the Oklahoma School for the Blind and tied for 2nd place out of 44 competitors! Way to go, Austyn!



WHS students who were scheduled to take the ASVAB Friday, November 7th, it has been cancelled. All the ASVAB testing center workers are furloughed due to the government shutdown. We will reschedule as soon as the situation is resolved.
